Bye 2020 – at last!

In retrospect I find, being confined to a room for more than a month due to COVID19 made me realize and learn a lot of things.

The Mask Story

Wearing a face mask today is a sign of self interest and responsibility. A really winning combination

The empty nest story

There are myriad ways one misses a child, simply mind boggling and impossible to recount. The feeling runs deep inside – for me it defies expression.

Being ‘Fair’……

Once the underlying messaging that the fairness industry has promoted – that dark is undesirable – disappears, we would probably move forward to accepting that neither dark nor fair is beautiful. Beauty is beautiful.

The pandemic of distance

This hiccup of imposed social distancing will embed in us the value and sheer joy of human interaction and togetherness. Hopefully, that would be its lasting legacy!

The parallels

Home is sanctuary parallel – one feels safe and comforted when one reaches there. However scanty and impoverished it maybe.’

Going beyond definitions

The virus has melted the constraints of these definitions. It has helped us realize that we are much more than our defined roles and jobs.

The Day After

The Covid-19 virus will be conquered – either by medicine, time or nature. Then how will it change the world? That is the question that engages us the most now.

When They Conversed….

“They are all in their homes Ashoka. But why they have stopped stepping out I don’t know. I will try and find out tomorrow.”
